For little things.
#068
I hope your week is off to a great start! Last week was a busy one in our neck of the woods. This week’s newsletter is dedicated to mundane - but important - moments, little things.
On Tuesday, we voted. I sure hope you did, too, but if not, please vote in November.
Spring sunrises here are really something. Almost every morning this week, we were treated to similar views. I appreciate a day that allows me to start in a hoodie then transitions to a t-shirt, then back to long sleeves in the evening. Perfect fire pit weather.
On Saturday, I got my bean fence up inside the garden and restrung the electric fence. I staked out where the tomato plants will go. We’ll get everything in the ground this week ahead of the rain. I think we’re planting about 30% less than last year to help reduce food waste and not overcrowd the garden.
Yesterday, I mowed the cabin road and part of the side of our driveway with the brush hog. It was my first time using it, but I’m hooked. It would usually take me about three hours to weed eat what I can now do in about 30 minutes or less.
We got several night walks in this week, too. The never hesitate to go on a w-a-l-k, but for some reason, they absolutely love night walks.
Thanks for reading, subscribing, and supporting this newsletter. Please consider sharing it with someone you think might enjoy it.
Take care of each other and the little things,
- Roger

THIS!! >>>"I appreciate a day that allows me to start in a hoodie then transitions to a t-shirt, then back to long sleeves in the evening." Absolutely indeed! Going to try my hand at pickles this year as well. Still remember my mom's dill pickles she'd made. They'd be my afterschool treat.
